  • A previously viewed black and white bully mix was picked up in December of last year in the McCaysville area. The male dog is in desperate need of a forever home. He is currently available for adoption from Animal Control if not reclaimed by his owner. His animal control number is 353-16.
  • The second bully mix featured is pure white and has also been at Animal Control since December of 2016. The female dog was picked up in McCaysville and would love to meet her new owner. She is currently available for adoption if not reclaimed by her owner. Her animal control number is 342-16.
  • Another female bully mix is a previously viewed white and tan dog that was picked up in Blue Ridge last year. She is very healthy and craves some warm sunshine with her new owner. She is currently available for adoption if not reclaimed by her owner. Her animal control number is 067-16.

Adopt-A-Pet

He was dropped off Wednesday, April 5.

He is white with distinctive black and brown markings for his breed. 

Perfect for the avid hunter or outdoorsman, this dog craves sunshine and outdoor time. A new forever home with room to run would be ideal.

He is up for adoption from Animal Control. 

His animal control number is 063-17.

The three other dogs featured this week are previously viewed bully mixes in need of forever homes.  Visitors interested in giving an abandoned dog a home are encouraged to come visit Animal Control. 

The majority of new dogs taken in the week of April 3 have either been reclaimed or sent to a rescue group.

Hours of operation are are Monday - Saturday from 9 a.m. to noon at the facility. 

After hours, the officers follow up with community concerns and respond to stray dog calls.
