Fannin County High School's basketball teams held their annual banquet May 12 to recognize individual efforts for the 2025-26 season. Special awards were given to both teams.
For the boys, the Sixth Man Award was given to co-winners Cannon Holloway and Kolby Kaylor. The Hustle Award was given to Hudson York. The Coaches Award was given to Tyler Blake.
Brody Henson took home the All-Around Impact Award. Matthew Ponton earned the Offense Award. Kolton Kaylor was named the Most Valuable Player. The Own The Paint Award Defensive Player of the Year was Keaton Watkins.
Special recognition was given to members from the boys team. Kolton Kaylor was voted Region 7-A D1 Player of the Year and Northwest Georgia Tip-off Club Player of the Year.
Watkins received Region 7-A D1 First Team All-Region honors and was NW Georgia Tip-Off Club December Player of The Month.
Henson earned Region 7-A D1 Second Team All-Region honors and was NW Georgia Tip-Off Club January Player of The Month.
Ponton received 7-A D1 Second Team All-Region honors. York was Region 7-A D1 All-Region Honorable Mention.
Kolton Kaylor was also recognized for Georgia Basketball Coaches Association All-State team and the Georgia High School Association (GHSA) First-Team All-State.
Academic Awards were given to sophomore, junior and senior players on the boys team who achieved a minimum grade point average of 3.5 or higher. Those 10th graders included Avrey Angel, Garrison Ensley, Cannon Holloway, Kolby Kaylor, Cash Lambert and Jasper Mealer.
Junior recipients included Kylan Dover, Kolton Kaylor and Camden Woolsey. Senior recipients included Henson, Ponton and York.
Several Lady Rebels received individual awards. The Defensive Player of the Year was Avi Ethington.
Offensive Player of the Year was Maggie Ledford. Ledford was the team leader in total three point shots made and was the team leader in field goal percentage.
Reese Lewis was Player of the Year. She had 1,112 career points and 906 career rebounds.
The Sixth Man of the Year was Toccoa Hampton. The All-Around Impact Award winner was Albany Cole. The Standard of Excellence Award was given to Ledford. Ethington earned the Johnny Farmer Coaches Award. The Playmaker of the Year was Izzie Jabaley.
During the ceremony, Ledford earned recognition for being the NW Georgia Tip-Off Club December Player of the Month and GHSA Single A D1 Shooter of the Year.
Jabaley was NW Georgia Tip Off Club January Player of the Month, and was selected GHSA All-State Honorable Mention and GBCA First Team All-State.
Reese Lewis was also acknowledged for being voted NW Georgia Tip-Off Club Program Player of the Year. She was selected GHSA Second Team All-State and GBCA First team All-State.
Several girls received all-region team honors. Cole was Region 7-A D1 All-Region Honorable Mention.
Jabaley was Region 7-A D1 First Team All Region. Ethington was Region 7-A D1 First Team All-Region. Ledford was Region 7A-D1 First Team All-Region, and Lewis was Region 7-A D1 Player of the Year.
