Kim Keenan was hired by the Blue Ridge City Council to take over duties in the Land Development office during the July 12 meeting.

Keith Knuckolls is the new principal at Fannin County Middle School. He is a veteran educator with 33 years of experience.

Fannin County Middle School will open its doors this fall under the guidance of new principal Keith Knuckolls.


Adam Ingram, who graduated Fannin County High School this past spring, was named the Athlete of the Year by the Fannin County Sports Hall of Fame for his stand-out performances for the football, basketball, soccer, and track and field teams this past season. Ingram received honors in all four sports for the Rebels.

Ella May Crawford, age 78, of Morganton, Georgia, passed away on July 13, 2016. 

Alexander Cary Rivera, age 21, of Blue Ridge, formerly of Vermont, passed away July 6, 2016, at his home.
