Earl Elwood

Earl Francis Elwood III, age 76, of Morganton, Georgia, passed away Saturday, November 5, 2022, in Braselton, Georgia.

Earl was born May 30, 1946, in Newark, Delaware to the late Earl Elwood and the late Shirley Stanley.

He is survived by his wife of 50 years, Leslie Elwood; daughter, Tracie Holena; sister, Karen (Joseph) Lovell; brother, Lance (Wendy) Elwood; brother-in-law, Leland Basey; sister-in-law, Linda (Ray) Kuharski; nieces, Jennifer (Chet) Rabon and Jennifer (Randall) Barnett; and great niece, Bailey (Jeremy) Harrell; and several aunts, uncles, and cousins in Delaware.

He was a member of Temple Baptist Church and a Veteran of the U.S. Navy and the National Guard. Earl was the Vice President of the Christian Motorcycle Association of Naples, Florida and also served in the Speakers Bureau for Sprint Telecommunications Company, giving over 300 speeches and directing hands-on workshops at schools for children.

A memorial service was held Tuesday, November 15, at 2 p.m. from the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. Roger Beck officiating.

The family received friends at Henry-Cochran Funeral Home, Tuesday, November 15,  from 12 p.m.  until 2 p.m.
